I would agree with the subject of this post!
Whenever a rugby fan tries to argue that its a better/more entertaining sport I point out that there is no other team sport played on a pitch that is as intense as football can be.
In football you also get games where it might be 1-0 meaning an explosion of emotion from a crowd on scoring, there are so many points in rugby won that I find watching it the cheers on scoring a point are often a tad underwhelming.
I also had a debate as to why near me all these so called new "trendy" pubs that don't usually show sport are making a big fuss out of showing rugby, my mate tried to tell me that rugby fans are seen as better behaved and don't cause trouble. I think this is completely wrong, a group of rowdy beer fueled rugby fans IMO are more likely to cause problems than football fans but seem to get away with it as it "gentlemanly banter" where as a football fan is labelled a trouble maker.

Have to say the Japan result has kind of shat on this thread.
